Galaxyneon- Along with the new NXCAM HXR-NX30U handheld professional camcorder, Sony also introduced the new NXCAM NEX-FS700U Full HD Super Slow Motion camcorder. Designed for high-speed shooting, the Super 35mm camcorder is capable of capturing footage at up to 960 frames per second. The NXCAM NEX-FS700U is equipped with 4K Exmor Super 35 CMOS image sensor with a total of 11.6 Megapixel, which is optimized for motion picture shooting, with high sensitivity and low noise. The camcorder captures Full HD video at 120fps and 240fps in a 16 or 8 second burst mode respectively. It features a super slow motion capability of up to 10x slow motion at full HD resolution or up to 40x slow motion at a reduced resolution, and is switchable between 50 Hz and 60Hz to allow 24p shooting in PAL areas and no PAL/NTSC limitations. Sony’s NEX-FS700 comes with built-in, ultra-thin ND filters, offering exceptional shallow depth-of-field on highlight; and the newly designed ND filter wheel rotates across the sensor like a turret, with positions for Clear, 1/4 (2 Stop), 1/16 (4 Stop), and 1/64 (6 Stop). As a camcorder for the pros, the FS700 provides both 3G HD-SDI and HDMI connectors, supporting output of Full HD 50p/60p, as well as standard HD 60i, 24p, 25p or 30p frame rates with embedded time code and audio. The 3G HD-SDI also supports native 23.98, 25, 29.97 progressive signals output.

The Super Slow Motion NXCAM camcorder has an ergonomic design with a detachable handle that allows secure mounting for heavy accessories, and an active grip with four buttons for commonly used functions. It uses SD and Memory Stick memory cards and HXR-FMU128 flash memory unit; and users can save up to 99 camera profile settings on a memory card.
Sony is planning to release the NXCAM NEX-FS700U in June and will also launch the NEX-FS700UK kit with the SEL 18200 (E 18–200mm F3.5–6.3 OSS) 11x zoom E-Mount lens, with the Optical SteadyShot image stabilisation system. The prices will be less than $10,000, according to Sony.

Crucial Adrenaline Solid State Cache Solution

Galaxyneon- Crucial launches its Adrenaline solid state cache solution, which is a upgrade kit for you to enhance the performance of your PC. The Adrenaline is designed to “provides users with the best of both worlds: SSD-like performance with the high capacity of a traditional hard drive, all at an affordable cost.” Basically, the solution works with your existing hard drive to boot your Windows 7-based PC up to twice as fast and increase data access speeds by up to eight times.

The Adrenaline upgrade kit includes a 50GB Crucial m4 SSD, a 3.5-inch adapter bracket, SATA cable, and NVELO Dataplex caching software. The system caches most frequently needed files on the SSD and leaves less frequently used files on the hard drive, so as to improve the performance of your PC. Setup is fairly easy – connect the SSD to the motherboard with the included SATA cable, start the computer, and install the Dataplex caching software. Once the software is installed and the system has been rebooted, the software seamlessly integrates the existing hard drive and Crucial Adrenaline into a single storage system.

Car brains swapped

Galaxyneon- Randy Sarafan, the Technology Editor at Instructables built this programmable car platform by taking an off the shelf RC Car and swapped its brains with an Arduino. This allows the new car to have sensor capabilities and programmability. Randy installed a PING ultrasonic sensor in the front of the vehicle so that it can avoid running into objects but the possibilities are endless now that you can write code for new functionality.
“Converting an RC car into a robot is a quick and easy way to get started with robotics. At the very least, when you get bored of playing with your remote control car after three days, you can turn it into a robot that will do all of your evil bidding. Well, maybe not all of it, but at least a sizable amount.”

Samsung rolls out Ultra High Speed microSD cards destined for LTE phones and tablets

Samsung rolls out Ultra High Speed microSD cards destined for LTE phones and tablets

Galaxyneon- While so far the Ultra High Speed Class 1 memory card designation has been reserved for SDXC and SDHC cards, Samsung just announced new microSD cards that support the faster interface as well. Currently being produced in 16GB sizes, they have maximum sequential read speeds of up to 80 MB/s, four times that of the high speed cards it introduced last year. There’s no word on the write speeds but Samsung is already busy calling its next shot, planning to offer cards with even more storage in the future. Of course, you’ll need compatible devices to make these new cards worth it, we wonder what kind of Advanced LTE smartphones with 3D gaming and HD video capabilities might be in store from Samsung soon.

WhatsApp founder says he doesn’t want to hurt carriers

WhatsApp founder says he doesn't want to hurt carriers

Galaxyneon- Given how much the world has already noticed that instant messaging can be cheaper than SMS, it’s surprising to see the founder of WhatsApp trying to persuade carriers that he’s actually doing them a favor. In an interview with Reuters, Brian Acton said that his messaging service is “facilitating a broad movement to data plans,” from which carriers “stand to benefit quite substantially.” While it’s certainly true that smartphones and data plans make nice margins for operators, Acton’s thesis also slithers around some slightly inconvenient evidence. According to analysts at Ovum, carriers lost $13.9 billion in SMS revenues last year, and are set to lose another $23 billion this year. All the while, WhatsApp’s traffic is growing rapidly, with total messages doubling from one billion in October 2011 to two billion in February. With data costs falling around the world, and with platforms like WhatsApp running on lower-priced handsets (such as those running Nokia S40), it’s the consumer, not the carrier, who ought to be charmed.

Snowbreeze Untethered iOS 5.1 Jailbreak for iPhone 4, iPad, iPod 4G, iPhone 3GS & iPod 3G

Written By Galaxyneon on Jumat, 06 April 2012 | 06.39

Jumat, 06 April 2012

As we know Apple has killed and stopped the Untethered Jailbreak exploit "Corona" in its new iOS version iOS 5.1 so now Sn0wbreeze 2.9.2 only brings iOS 5.1 tethered jailbreak on non-A5 devices (iPhone 4, iPad, iPod 4G, iPhone 3GS & iPod 3G) which means that you have to connect your iDevice with your PC every time you reboot it.
What's new in Sn0wbreeze 2.9.2:
Added Tethered Jailbreak support for 3GS/iPod Touch 3/A4 Users on iOS 5.1 (9B176)
iPhone 3GS old-bootrom users are untethered on 5.1/9B176 (as usual).
Bug Fixes (Specifically with the iPad baseband and iPhone 2G).
Re-added the iPhone Dev-Team’s iPhone 2G permanent unlock ‘BootNeuter’.
Why No Support for A5 chipset devices "iPhone 4S / iPad 2”?
A low level (DFU/iBoot/LLB) exploit is required to start the restoration of custom IPSWs. The past two jailbreaks (JailbreakMe & absinthe) for the A5 worked within iOS itself. These exploits are not capable of bringing the iDevice into a state where it will accept custom IPSWs. Therefore, an A5 device cannot currently downgrade to an iOS revision that Apple is no longer signing (even with SHSH blobs) and it cannot preserve the baseband when updating to a newer iOS revision.
Now let’s start the Tutorial and Guidelines to Jailbreak iOS 5.1 with Sn0wbreeze Untethered method to Unlock iPhone 4, iPad, iPod 4G, iPhone 3GS & iPod 3G.
Supportive devices for Untethered Sn0wbreeze 2.9.2 iOS 5.1 Jailbreak:

  • Download SnOwbreeze 2.9.2 for [ Windows Only ]
  • Download iOS 5.1 for [ iPhone / iPod touch / iPad ]
  • Download iTunes 10.6
How to Jailbreak iOS 5.1 with Sn0wbreeze Untethered method to Unlock iPhone 4, iPad, iPod 4G, iPhone 3GS & iPod 3G?
Download the tool package provided above and then follow the following simple steps to Jailbreak and Unlock Apple iOS 5.1 with Sn0wbreeze Untethered for iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPod Touch 4G, iPod 3G and iPad.

Step 1: Open Sn0wbreeze, then click the blue arrow.
Step 2: Now SnOwbreeze 2.9.2 will ask you to browse fro an IPSW, Click on “Browse” then point it to iOS 5.1 ipsw file.
Step 3: After Sn0wbreeze verified your ipsw file you’ll see the below screenshot, click the blue arrow.
Step 4: Select “Simple Mode”
Step 5: Click yes if you wanna Hactivate your iPhone. Then Sn0wbreeze 2.9.2 will now cooks your custom pre-jailbroken IPSW file (it will take some time, don’t worry). After finishing, you will find the custom 5.1 firmware waiting for you at desktop.

Step 1: Now, open Cydia > Manage > Sources.

Qualcomm producing Quad-Core S4 for new laptop class

Qualcomm producing Quad-Core S4 for new laptop class
Galaxyneon- IDG News Service reports that Qualcomm is currently working on a quad-core version of its S4 SoC to be used in a new Windows 8 laptop form factor rivaling Intel’s Ultrabook. This new design is expected to be thinner and lighter than Apple’s MacBook Air and Intel’s Ultrabook, and sport high-resolution screens, longer battery life, always-on connectivity and perhaps even 3D graphics.
“We think much lighter than what Intel calls an ultrabook,” said Rob Chandhok, senior vice president at Qualcomm, adding that the lines between high-end smartphones and laptops have started to blur.
Qualcomm typically supplies its Snapdragon SoC for smartphones, but the company is looking to expand out into the PC sector. It has already shipped a few prototype Windows 8-based PCs with Snapdragon chips to developers, but with Intel’s mega-push into the mobile PC sector, Qualcomm wants to provide an alternative with built-in 4G support and strong multimedia qualities.
Chandhok didn’t provide any specifics about the new form factor. Did one specific party design the spec list (as Intel did), was it Qualcomm’s idea, or was it a mutually agreed design across numerous manufacturers? It could possibly be the latter not wanting to rely solely on Intel by offering something similar if not superior. As for the S4 inside, it will be manufactured with a 28nm process for improved power efficiency and performance over earlier Snapdragon chips.
Qualcomm will join Nvidia and Texas Instruments in the Windows 8 race, but hopes to stand out by developing software that plays to Snapdragon’s unique multimedia and cellular connectivity features. The company is even considering a 64-bit version of its SoC given Windows 8 will be 64-bit, but Chandhok wouldn’t say when that would be released. 64-bit support will automatically be baked right into future ARM-based chips thanks to the upcoming ARMv8 architecture.
The new Ultrabook rival is expected to be released later this year when the second wave of Intel’s Ultrabooks begin to splash onto the market. It will also compete against AMD’s “Ultra Thin” form factor like the upcoming Asus U82U which sports the E-450 APU housing two Bobcat cores at 1.65 GHz and Radeon HD 6320 graphics.

Sony outs NEX-FS700 cinema camera: does crazy slow-mo now, 4K coming later

Sony outs NEX-FS700 cinema camera: does crazy slow-mo now, 4K coming later
Galaxyneon-Sony stole our hearts with the NEX-FS100, which brought large-sensor filming into the reach of low-budget productions. When we heard rumors of a 4K-capable FS700 model coming for $9,000, known in North America as the NEX-FS700U or in Europe as the NEX-FS700E, we got ready to hand over our kidneys too. Now that the FS700 is official and scheduled to land in June, we’re faced with a couple of caveats. The price seems to have shifted slightly to “less than $10,000,” but more importantly the camera’s 4K superpowers have been delayed until a promised firmware upgrade that will enable a 4K bitstream output from the 3G HD-SDI port to a compatible Sony recorder. Nevertheless, there are still plenty of reasons to get renal right away: The camera can shoot Super Slow Motion of up to 120 frames a second in a 16-second burst, or 240 fps in an 8-second burst. If you need even crazier time-suspension, the FS700 does 960 fps too, so long as you’re prepared to sacrifice 1080p. It takes E-mount interchangeable lenses, has built-in ND filters and a packs a Super 35 sensor with 11.6 million pixels — ready to spring to life once that new firmware arrives.
